Bowen McCauley Dance, recognized by the Washington Post as "DC's premier contemporary dance company," brings a diverse program to the Terrace Theater stage. The late Eric Hampton's Beethoven's Bits is followed by Lucy Bowen McCauley's ReSuitened which premiered to rave reviews at the 2011 Wintergreen Summer Music Festival. The choreography is set to a new arrangement of Bach suites which will be performed by NSO cellist Yvonne Caruthers. McCauley's Ozone, inspired by Rita Dove's poem and with live music by composer Larry Alan Smith, features Ms. Dove reciting her poem as part of the performance.

The program caps off with the world premiere performance of McCauley's Le Sacre du Printemps--a quatre mains (The Rite of Spring), in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Stravinsky's 1913 seminal work. This ensemble work, featuring an original set designed by Tony Cisek, will be accompanied by a live performance by Fabio and Gisele Witkowski of the four-hand piano version of the score.

Performance Timing: Act I - 24 min., Act II - 25 min.; Act III - 35 min., with two 10-min. intermissions
