A Concert Hall recital by extraordinary Italian pianist Maurizio Pollini rounds out this unforgettable Fortas season. In 2007, Pollini's recording of Chopin nocturnes won the Grammy Award® for Best Instrumental Soloist Performance; five years later, he entered the Gramophone Hall of Fame. Renowned for his virtuosity and unqualified attention to the composer's intentions, Pollini is also noted for his performances of Bach and Beethoven, and as a champion of contemporary Italian composers such as Giacomo Manzoni, Salvatore Sciarrino, and Bruno Maderna.

The program will include a selection of Chopin favorites, including four nocturnes, two ballades, a scherzo, a sonata, and Berceuse.
